We are so excited to meet with the teams of Clean Energy Trust at the Field Museum for their 2020 CEO Summit! We'll be speaking about Radical Self Inquiry for leaders, as well as Conscious Communication. We so appreciate CET's bravery and openness to including us in their summit, which sends the message of the importance of mental health and a focus on building real, authentic relationships in the workplace. We were honored to be invited to speak with the students at the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago. The students there provide free legal assistance to young companies who otherwise would not be able to afford a lawyer at all. We had a great discussion on founder and cofounder relationships, and how, as lawyers, they can be helpful to founders who are going through conflict, stress, and other difficulties. We loved the insightful questions, and hearing from other founders who have gone through their own cofounder stressors.​

Founder life is stressful, and often isolating. That's why Amity Chicago is introducing low-cost groups for founders to meet and gain support, knowledge, and connection from one another. Stress & burn-out prevention, self-care, and general related skills will be explored and practiced throughout, as guided by Amity therapists and coaches.

Amity will be partnering with Listen Ventures as a part of their Founder's Wellness Program! Listen will be funding initial founder & cofounder therapy sessions for their portfolio companies, as well as membership in founder therapy group! The Food Foundry is an accelerator program built in partnership with 1871 and powered by Gordon Food Service to connect, support, and propel seed-stage startups who are rethinking traditional food systems.

In this two-part workshop series, startup founders will learn how to choose the right cofounder and make the relationship successful, from the perspective of professional relationship counselors. The choice of cofounder and proper communication and conflict skills are invaluable to the success of any business, particularly in the early stages. From first principles to practical tools and skills, this series will provide an essential relationship foundation for any current or future founder team. The first workshop will focus on choosing a cofounder, while the second will focus on building and maintaining a strong relationship over time.
